As our Production Chef, you’ll be stepping into a key role at an exciting time for La Catrina. You’ll be part of launching and operating our very first central kitchen—a major milestone that will allow us to scale as a restaurant group while maintaining (and raising) the quality and consistency we’re known for.
This isn’t just another kitchen job. You’ll help shape the systems and standards that support our growing success, working closely with the Kitchen Production Manager, who is one of our Co-Founders, to improve operational workflows, streamline prep, and ensure everything that leaves the kitchen meets our high standards. From batch cooking to recipe scaling, from food safety to kitchen organization, your role is at the heart of what will make our future growth possible.

requirements
* Minimum 5 years of kitchen experience, including at least 2 years in a high-volume environment (e.g., hotel, central kitchen, catering, or similar)
* Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards – certification must be up to date
* Excellent personal and kitchen hygiene practices
* Skilled in recipe scaling and standardization
* Confident with kitchen equipment
* Highly organized with great attention to detail
* Physically resilient and adaptable
* Experienced in inventory control
* Effective time and resource management
* Fluent in spoken English (Dutch or Spanish are a plus, not necessary)
